Fire extinguisher advice.
For HMO’s the ideal fire extinguisher would be a 6 litre foam which can tackle both class A & B.Class can be used on paper and wood and class B can be used on petrol and flammable liquids.These are not used ideally on cooking fat,a class F is required commonly known as a wet chemical fire extinguisher.
There are different types of fire extinguishers for different types of fires.It is very important to use the correct fire extinguisher for the correct material you want to extinguish.
Make sure your fire extinguisher is positioned in correct place and has correct signage above or next your extinguisher.Also to train yourself or any staff as part of your annual fire risk assessment.
